The Key Group

Chris Kenyon joined The Key Group as CEO in February 2019 to build on its mission of supporting school leaders with the ‘Knowledge to Act’ and accelerating the move of UK schools to modern information systems.

Since joining, Chris has led the expansion of the group with the acquisition of Arbor Education and GovernorHub in 2020 and the continued growth of ScholarPack and The Key. The Key Group now provides services to over 16,000 schools across the UK and is the UK’s leading provider of cloud-based MIS solutions, supporting over 3,000 schools

Previously, Chris was responsible for the commercial growth of Ubuntu, the open source cloud operating system. Over 12 years Chris worked with partners including Google, Microsoft and AWS to make Ubuntu the world’s leading cloud operating system. He brings significant experience in software, growing organisations and community collaboration to his role at The Key Group.

Chris is Co-Chair of Governors of a Primary School in Islington.
