On Day 1 participants will explore the complexities of the role and the theoretical perspectives, approaches, behaviours and skills that can enhance professional practice. The session will focus on the leader’s ability to respond creatively to complex organisational challenges and understand how to set and deliver sustainable strategic goals before critically reflecting on the interrelationship between the skillset and mindset to develop as a strategic leader.
Day 2 will support participants to understand the relationship between organisational design and development and the achievement of strategic objectives. Leaders will understand the impact of current and emerging factors which influence the need for agile and adaptive organisations. They will also explore the strategic role of building effective collaborations and partnering arrangements critically assessing the scope and value of such arrangements
Participants will Participants will consider a range of analytical tools, theories and models of change, and creative problem-solving techniques that can be deployed when leading strategic change. They will then explore the relationships between strategic change and delivering performance through people through a number of lenses including organisational culture, and people development approaches that can be used creatively within the leadership role to deliver positive business outcomes
Participants will come together for three facilitated action learning / group coaching sessions once the taught element of the programme concludes.
The first session will take place approximately 4-6 weeks after the taught phase with subsequent sessions scheduled at (approximately) 6-week intervals.
Led by an experienced action-learning facilitator / group coach the sessions will allow participants to further explore and problem solve their operating environment, co-create solutions with their learning cohort, take a deep-dive into their own leadership philosophy and embed the learning with positive intent in their organisational setting
