ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring Skills for the Healthcare Sector Programme

Course Overview

Accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management, this Level 5 programme in ‘Effective Coaching and Mentoring’ is delivered across two 2-day modules, taking place approximately 6-8 weeks apart. Learners receive regular tutorial and supervision support beyond the end of the taught phase to ensure their professional practice develops and grows effectively throughout the duration of the programme.

Our Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring programme has been delivered extensively across a range of organisations and sectors, including healthcare. The programme benefits healthcare organisations seeking to embed coaching and mentoring practices into their infrastructure. Whether the agenda is to develop specialist internal coaches, equip leaders with a more coaching or mentoring style, or build internal coaching and mentoring schemes, this programme will provide tangible results.

Research into the introduction of coaching and mentoring programmes in organisations has shown that over 85% of companies consider they recouped their investment, with reported ROI of between 300% and 700%.

The introduction of coaching approaches or schemes in organisations has been shown to:

  • Empower people to take more personal responsibility.

  • Increase staff engagement and commitment.

  • Improve individual and team performance.

  • Support staff resilience and well-being.

  • Help people identify and harness personal strengths.

  • Improve confidence, innovation, and solution finding.

The programme is led by experienced facilitators who are also trained coaches, whose knowledge, skill, and experience bring the training to life with a wealth of real-world case studies and stories.

The Level 5 Certificate is a 16-credit qualification. Learners have 24 months from their date of initial attendance on the taught phase of the programme to complete the assignments and attain the qualification.
