AXREM Host Successful Happy Hour Event at UKIO

The diagnostic imaging & oncology community descended on Liverpool again this week for the UK’s largest imaging and oncology event, with numbers up on the last few years, the isles of the exhibition were busy, the CPD sessions on our membersstands were busting into the isles and the excitement around the event could be felt.

With AXREM having an ever expanding membership and over half of our membership exhibiting, taking up a large proportion of the floor space in the exhibition with fantastic stands showcasing the latest innovations and technologies, and many more members visiting this was a great opportunity for our community to network, but more importantly to engage with delegates and show the fabulous products and services they have on offer.

AXREM hosted a successful Happy Hour event in the Albert Dock on Tuesday evening and welcomed over 350 guests to Revolution Bar. The event was by invite only, and those companies that sponsored the event invited their colleagues, stakeholders and customers to attend. The evening was full of fabulous networking and fun with guests having their pictures drawn by caricaturists, being entrained by a magician and then the surprise of guest being pranked by our singing waiters!

We would like to say special thanks to the event sponsors: Agfa Radiology Solutions, Agfa Healthcare, Aidoc, AMDS, Barco, Canon Medical, Ergea, EverlightRadiology, Fujifilm, GE Healthcare, Nanosonics, OpenRad, Philips, Probo Medical, Scribetech, Sectra, Siemens Healthineers, Smart Reporting, Soliton IT and Xograph.

Sally Edgington said, “We wanted to make this event a great informal networkingopportunity, where after a busy day our community can come together, let their hair down but also have some meaningful engagements and conversations, and based upon the feedback we have had so far and having looked at all the photos, I think we delivered an event people enjoyed and want to come back to next year”.

“This is one of the key events in the AXREM calendar, with the association supporting members before, during and after the event via our social media

channels. I had an incredibly positive and busy few days in Liverpool and am already looking forward to next year”.

Note: AXREM’s member companies supply most of the diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals. They work with Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Practitioners, Oncologists, and a wide range of healthcare professionals in delivering healthcare to patients using our technologies.

Our members have unique knowledge, experience and insight into the workflow and challenges faced by healthcare professionals on a day-to-day basis, which enables us to develop and offer innovative solutions to improve the speed and quality of diagnostic procedures and treatments with our ultimate aim of improving patient care.

Although our members operate in a highly competitive commercial environment and in strict conformity with UK laws and regulations, certain issues such as this require focus and resolution on an industry-wide basis.
