AXREM Appoints New Future Leaders Council Leadership

AXREM established the Future Leader Council in 2024 which has gone from strength to strength under the leadership of Toby Heath, European Marketing Manager, MS & MI at Fujifilm Healthcare Europe who has now completed his term as Chair. The group have become proactive and published a State of the Nation paper and developed a new Digital Pathology Special Focus Group for AXREM and continue to work on other associated projects. 

AXREM are pleased to announce that James Bill, Business Line Manager, Biomedical Services at Ergea has been appointed as the new Future Leaders Council Chair.

James Bill sought to develop his career in the MedTech Industry after university. In 2023, James moved to Ergea where he now works as a Business Line Manager for the Biomedical Engineering Services division. James is a self-confessed science and healthcare nerd and is interested in how healthcare business will adapt their offerings esp in the AI era. 

James Bill said upon his appointment to this role, “Having served on the council for nearly a year, I have seen the impact we can make. With the Future Leaders Council doubling in size, we have more resource to build on last year’s successes. Inspired by Toby’s leadership and Sally’s approach, I am keen to drive the council forward by turning ideas into action and delivering meaningful initiatives. By encouraging engagement from all members, we can improve outputs, build on past initiatives, and support the executive committee with AXREM’s strategic goals”. 

David Rolfe, CEO at Ergea  said upon hearing the news “James has been a successful and positive energy within Ergea since he joined. I am delighted to see him step into this important role with AXREM, and I am confident he will do a great job, in many ways James is already leading by example, with his excellent people skills, strong communication and industry knowledge." 

Furthermore Jack Bond, Business Development Manager, Healthcare at EIZO has been appointed as Vice Chair. Jack Bond, with a background of diagnostic radiography and a former part-time children’s science party host, has spent the last 6 years working with EIZO travelling the country, presenting to NHS and private sites. Combining my passion of science, healthcare and technology.

We congratulate both James and Jack on their new roles within AXREM.

AXREM members supply the majority of diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals. In doing so, our member companies and their employees work side by side with Radiologists, Radiographers, Practitioners, Oncologists and a wide range of healthcare professionals in delivering healthcare to patients using our technologies.

Our members therefore have unique knowledge, experience and insight into the workflow and challenges faced by healthcare professionals on a day-to-day basis, which enables us to develop and offer innovative solutions to improve the speed and quality of diagnostic procedures and treatments with our ultimate aim of improving patient care.

Although our members operate in a highly competitive commercial environment and in strict conformity with UK laws and regulations, certain issues such as this require focus and resolution on an industry-wide basis.
