AXREM, the UK trade association representing suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment, including patient monitoring, is proud to announce a development in the strategic partnership with Convenzis, a leading provider of national conferences and leadership training. AXREM will be a headline partner to 3 established Radiology conferences in 2025.

The first of the NHS Radiology and Imaging Conference: Navigating Challenges and Driving Innovation, Clinical Diagnostics and Medical Sciences will take place on Wednesday 5thFebruary at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester. This event comes at a critical juncture as the NHS is undergoing substantial reforms aimed at addressing the pressures on diagnostic services. National initiatives like the Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and Imaging Networks are being rolled out, but regional disparities persist. The event will explore how NHS Trusts in the North can take advantage of emerging technologies and collaborative frameworks to meet increasing demand and optimize patient outcomes.

The second event NHS Radiology and Imaging Conference: Shaping the Future of Diagnostics, Clinical Diagnostics and Medical Sciences will take place on Wednesday 2nd July in London. As London continues to be a major hub for NHS innovation and investment in diagnostic services, this event is perfectly timed to discuss the capital’s efforts in scaling AI-driven imaging solutions and building integrated networks of care. The NHS’s commitment to reducing diagnostic waiting times aligns with local initiatives to expand capacity and improve access to community-based diagnostics, making this a pivotal moment for the future of radiology services in the region.

The final event of 2025 will be the NHS Radiology and Imaging: Building Resilience and Capacity, Clinical Diagnostics and Medical Sciences. This event is critically timed to coincide with NHS England’s mid-term review of diagnostic services, especially in relation to the expansion of CDCs and ongoing efforts to reduce waiting lists. It provides a vital platform for radiology leaders in the Midlands to align their strategies with the NHS Long Term Plan, which prioritises faster diagnostics, improved access to imaging services, and the use of digital technologies to enhance capacity and service quality.

Sally Edgington, Chief Executive of AXREM: “I am pleased to be able to develop our partnership and see how we can help shape and expand these established and highly valued conferences. AXREM will be present at all three events with a small stand, so we are looking forward to engaging in discussions with the NHS colleagues to attend”.

The headline partnership will leverage Convenzis’ experience in organising specialist events to provide AXREM members with increased opportunities for engagement and development. These events are designed to foster knowledge exchange, professional growth and the advancement of best practices within the industry.

Daniel Snape, Managing Director of Convenzis: “We are very pleased to deepen our partnership with AXREM and to collaborate on these essential radiology conferences in 2025. These events will not only highlight the transformative innovations shaping diagnostic services but also create a platform for healthcare professionals to tackle challenges and share insights. Together, we aim to drive meaningful discussions that inspire action and foster advancements in patient care across the NHS.”

The partnership is set to enhance the visibility and impact of these Radiology Conferences, ultimately benefiting the healthcare community by promoting the latest advancements and solutions in radiology and diagnostics.
