It’s no secret that the NHS and the Primary Care industries are the first port-of-call for millions of patients across the UK, delivering vital care and assistance to their patients day in and day out. Despite being the aspect of the NHS that people in the UK deal with the most, it has low funding attached to it.

In the 2021/2022 year, Primary Care received eight percent of day-to-day revenue spending - a tiny fraction of money considering the impact that Primary Care has on the wider population.

Not only do Primary Care providers have to deal with budget cuts and low funding, they also have to divide their time to provide a wide range of health services. These can include medical advice, vaccinations, examinations and treatment, prescriptions, referrals, and medical reporting.

This last point is a big stickler for many practices across the UK, as it often takes time away from other more pressing issues like delivering patient care. Primary Care receives c. 5 million requests for medical reports every year, so it’s easy to see how this can quickly cause backlogs in GP surgeries, causing more stress on GP surgery staff.

However, medical reporting doesn’t have to be as stressful.

Medi2data provide a service called eMR+, which involves the outsourcing of medical reports to a team of expert Clinicians and Data Administrators. They are the only company that utilise a clinical team in the medical reporting process, so GP surgeries can feel secure in knowing that their requests are upheld to the highest of standards.

Surgeries can save on average 18 hours a week on tasks associated with the medical reporting services with their eMR+ service, providing some well needed relief against the onslaught of reporting backlogs.

Not only can eMR+ immediately start tackling any backlogs, but the eMR software is already fully integrated within several clinical systems across the UK: EMIS, TPP, and Cegedim.

Here’s what practices who have tried and tested the eMR+ service have to say:

The eMR+ service is proven to bring significant value to GP practices: not only do they have access to the Clinical team and Data Administrators, but can also track the progress of their medical report request in real time through their intuitive eMR+ Dashboard.

And the best part, all of these services are completely FREE to GP surgeries with the eMR+ service!

If your practice is looking for ways to cut down on the time spent on medical reporting tasks or tackle any accumulating backlogs, Medi2data’s eMR+ service could be the solution for you.
