Expertise
Guided by a board of industry leaders, the team consists of subject matter experts with deep expertise in the diagnostic industry, including – but not limited to – regulation, procurement, development, policy, and external affairs. This expertise is deployed on behalf of members to support as required, from shaping the future legislative landscape to resolving complex regulatory challenges.
Experience
Our team’s rich experience – including leading major diagnostic programmes within NHS and government – has provided huge exposure to key influencers across the life science landscape. BIVDA pride ourselves on our relationships, working closely with the UK government and arms-length bodies, policy makers, politicians, the media, and the NHS.
External Affairs
Our role as the voice of the industry includes the dissemination of policy briefings, providing evidence to Parliamentary select committees, responding to Government consultations, facilitating communication between BIVDA members and policy makers and providing information and advice about the IVD industry to the wider community.
Engagement
BIVDA’s greatest strength is our nearly 250 members. We represent members across the entire diagnostic landscape – from small start ups looking to bring innovative products to market, to multi-national corporations with significant global market share. Our springboard programme assists new entrants to the market, in partnership with a leading UK bank. BIVDA membership provides unrivalled opportunities to collaborate and learn.
End Users
At the heart of all we do is the end user – patients. We take pride in collaborating with members and partners to ensure that in vitro diagnostics play their part not just in the diagnosis of conditions, but in prevention and treatment of disease too. To be involved in saving lives, improving health outcomes, and reducing health inequality is a privilege all at BIVDA recognise.
