The Defence Medical Services (Navy, Army and RAF) provide medical care to sick and injured military personnel and others in a range of uniquely challenging operational and training environments around the world. Medical reservists work and train alongside their health colleagues daily in the UK. In addition, they also use some of their spare time to undertake a second career, as a member of the Defence Medical Services. Reservists have access to a wide range of funded military and clinical training and development opportunities both in the UK and overseas which benefit both them and their employer.
