AXREM are pleased to announce that the association entered and have been shortlisted for two awards at the Association Excellence Awards 2024.
The awards that AXREM have been shortlisted for are Best Membership Support for the AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme (AMA) and Transformation Impact Award – Sustainability & CSR for the work done by our Sustainability Special Focus Group.
The Association Excellence Awards will take place in London on Friday 8th November and have been run annually since 2015 and were founded to recognise the essential work that associations, trade bodies, unions and professional organisations conduct on behalf of their members. Attended by over 350 association executives each year, the Association Excellence Awards are a trusted and reputable fixture in the calendar.
AXREM stands united in the face of the climate emergency, supporting the NHS in its crucial mission to achieve net zero emissions by 2045. Pioneers in the MedTech sector, AXREM established the Sustainability Special Focus Group, a
unique platform for our members to engage and collaborate with the NHS England Sustainability Team and NHS Supply Chain. By working in collaboration we aim to tackle the pressing challenges in achieving the NHS net zero target, positioning our members as thought leaders in this critical agenda.
The shortlist for Transformation Impact Award will mean a lot to our members and is recognition of the fantastic work we are collaborative doing in this space working closely with a groundbreaking blend of AXREM members and Representatives from NHS England, NHS Scotland, NHS Supply Chain, The Department for Health & Social Care, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine and the Royal College of Radiologists. This inclusive approach has propelled AXREM to the forefront of sustainability leadership, enabling us to influence prudent decision-making.
The AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme (AMA) was founded to support members by providing a not for profit accreditation scheme and now has 2300 registrants, and is saving the NHS thousands of pounds. The AMA scheme is specifically aligned with NHS requirements and policies. AXREM has ensured that the scheme is open and transparent, maintaining alignment with NHS and Professional Body stakeholders. The AMS Scheme Council includes representations from The Society and College of Radiographers, Institute of Physics & Engineering in Medicine, The Royal College of Radiologists and The British Institute of Radiology.
Furthermore following the success of AMA we have now in collaboration with the Life Science Access Academy Launched AMA Clinical which is open to all MedTech and Pharmaceutical companies, this showing our commitment to take the high cost profits out of credentialing.
Sally Edgington, AXREM Chief Executive Officer said upon hearing the shortlist announcement “I am really proud that AXREM has been recognised in these prestigious awards. To enter two awards and be shortlisted for them both really is a great achievement for AXREM. We have a small staff team who go above and beyond to deliver high quality services to our members every day, and we have a very engaged and committed membership, enabling for the association to have an influential voice. I am really looking forward to attending this event and celebrating all the work done by my team, our members and the other organisations that have also be shortlisted.”
Note:
AXREM’s member companies supply most of the diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy equipment, patient monitoring, care equipment, healthcare informatics and AI installed in UK hospitals. They work with Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Practitioners, Oncologists, and a wide range of healthcare professionals in delivering healthcare to patients using our technologies.
Our members have unique knowledge, experience and insight into the workflow and challenges faced by healthcare professionals on a day-to-day basis, which enables us to develop and offer innovative solutions to improve the speed and quality of diagnostic procedures and treatments with our aim of improving patient care.
Although our members operate in a highly competitive commercial environment and in strict conformity with UK laws and regulations, certain issues such as this require focus and resolution on an industry-wide basis.
