630,000 women a year die of breast cancer and yet if detected early enough it’s one of the most survivable cancers. Micrima believe the key is early detection.
Micrima have developed the MARIA® system which uses radio-waves. Today it’s being used as an adjunct to other imaging modalities in symptomatic clinics.
A new system will be launched in 2021 giving a MARIA® density score which can be used to identify the best screening regime.
Further development of MARIA® is ongoing to develop a classifier to identify benign and malignant. This is a significant step on the journey to screening.
