Ortus-iHealth

Ortus-iHealth is a digital healthcare company formed in 2017 by Dr. Debashish Das, a consultant cardiologist at Barts Hospital. It provides a virtual ward and digital outpatient solution, facilitating the effective delivery of treatments from referral to discharge and beyond. 

Ortus-iHealth offers patient and clinician portals that support virtual wards and remote monitoring. These portals allow for the scheduling of remote, asynchronous, or local consultations, along with the remote collection of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), symptoms, and vitals prior to consultations. This information is reviewable throughout the patient journey. Clinical dashboards and patient journey content are configured to meet specific condition and pathway needs, enabling clinicians to determine and prioritize consultations and reviews based on clinical need and patient-initiated follow-up (PIFU) requests. 

Configurable pathways can include multiple elements in automated workflows, such as remote monitoring, consent, and patient education content. The aim is to maintain patient engagement while increasing access, identifying deteriorating patients, reducing unnecessary appointments, "did not attend" (DNA) rates, and easing the pressure on clinics. With integration to patient administration system (PAS) and electronic health record (EHR) platforms, Ortus-iHealth offers a single solution for all virtual ward, outpatient, and perioperative needs.
