The Royal College of General Practitioners Secure Environments Group was established in 2004 and is committed to the improvement of the quality and consistency of the delivery of health care to people in contact with the justice system in order to attain the highest possible standards. The meetings are held quarterly and are attended by Prison GPs, NHS England Health & Justice leaders, Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service and Public Health England along with other representatives from other professions and patient / service user representation across the four Nations.
