NHS 111 First Programme Lead
NHS Digital
I have spent the last twenty years in the health care sector working in different organisations that provide care for patients. This has ranged from a service provider, commercial IT provider and now a commissioner of services.
My knowledge has been built up over many years providing me with skills in training, consultancy, product management, IT, leadership and management. I am well known in the healthcare market and have become a trusted advisor to many. Currently I am part of the national Clinical Hub enablers group, working with NHS England and NHS Digital and other Integrated Urgent Care ‘IUC’ providers to help deliver and develop the model.
I have contributed to various national and regional groups, including being the Senior Responsible Officer from Advanced Health and Care for the Phase 1 and Phase 2 learning and development pilots, which has helped shape the way services are commissioned now.
Prior to my current role I spent 18 years at Adastra (Advanced Health and Care) in various different roles. My last position was as the Product Director for Urgent and Unplanned Care, focusing on delivering a market driven roadmap. In this role I lead the delivery of one of the key products in the groups’ portfolio, overseeing product managers and product owners.
I’m truly passionate about my work and I am always eager to connect with people I have worked with. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favourite stage of a project is working with the client or business leader to understand his or her business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.
