Andrew was within the first cohort of Paramedics who graduated with a BSc HONS in Paramedic Practice from the University of Central Lancashire. Previously recruited to Lancashire Ambulance Service, Andrew has been on the front line responding to 999 calls since 2002.
Continuing his education at Bolton University where he studied modules towards his MSc, Andrew continued to demonstrate his passion for supporting staff, developing and leading others into dynamic and exciting roles within the modern ambulance service setting.
Andrew is also a specialist lecturer at Blackpool University where he teaches emergency medicine within the public services module. Andrew also has a seat on the UK Trauma Care Council where he represents UK Ambulance services and supports key education conferences around the UK.
Andrew is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is currently the Clinical Lead for the Urgent Care Practitioners within North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
