Chris has been Associate Medical Director at the Trust for the last eight years, where his roles include Physical health, Population Healthcare, GP support, Serious Incident Investigation, and Chief Clinical Information Officer. He has been a GP for over 30 years and remains a practising GP and Section 12 doctor in inner-city Nottingham and at Rampton Special Hospital. Also Chris, is the East Midlands Rep on the RCGP Secure Environments Group. He was Executive Director of Public Health in Nottingham for ten years (2001-2011), national Vice President of the Association of Directors of Public Health (2008-12) and chair of examiners for the final examination of the Faculty of Public Health (2009-2016). Also, he is currently chair of the Faculty’s Health Services Committee. He is Vice Chair of the national Public Health Advisory Committee A at NICE and was Honorary Professor of Public Health Practice, Faculty of Medicine, Nottingham University (2012-2018). He is currently the Principal Investigator on an NIHR CLAHRC-sponsored research project on cardiovascular risk and mental health in male prison populations across the East Midlands
