Craig de Sousa

Craig de Sousa is Director of Workforce Supply at NHS England, where he leads national workforce supply strategy and programmes to support the delivery of high-quality NHS services. With more than 25 years of experience in the NHS, he has held a range of operational and workforce leadership roles at local, regional and national level. He has led major workforce initiatives, including the NHS COVID-19 vaccination workforce response, and has been a prominent voice on workforce development, apprenticeships, widening participation, temporary staffing, pay and industrial relations, and operational workforce deployment and productivity. Craig is passionate about creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds to build rewarding careers in the NHS and is committed to developing practical, sustainable workforce solutions that support patients and communities across England.
