Donna Poole

Donna Poole is a Registered Nurse who has practiced and studied in spinal cord injury nursing, rehabilitation, remote area nursing, community and domiciliary care, case management, and vocational and higher education during her career.

Donna has an in-depth understanding of the Education and Transformation agenda within the NHS and is strongly committed to ensuring the right knowledge, skills, and behaviours are in the right place at the right time for maximum positive impact on improving the health and care of populations, social inclusivity and behaviour change.

As Head of Clinical Education Transformation across the South East region, Donna has managed a varied portfolio including, Workforce Transformation, Advanced Clinical Practice, Allied Health Professions leadership, population health, and prevention, with a focus on career development and interprofessional learning and working across the pillars of practice.

Donna believes through collaboration with partners and learners that HEE can develop and support the existing and future health and care workforce to meet the needs of populations now and in the future. Donna looks forward to progressing the Advancing Practice Faculty across the South East region as the sponsor and working alongside Sarah Goodhew and the new regional Advancing Practice team.
