CEO and Co-Founder
C the Signs
Dr. Bea Bakshi is a GP, CEO, and Co-founder of C the Signs™, an AI-driven cancer prediction system that identifies patients at risk of cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.
After losing a patient to a delayed cancer diagnosis, Bea co-founded C the Signs to transform early cancer detection. The platform has been implemented across the UK and, more recently, in the United States as a Founding Member of the CancerX White House Moonshot. C the Signs has already identified over 25,000 patients with cancer, across more than 50 types.
Bea has played a pivotal role in shaping national digital health policy. As Deputy IT Lead for the British Medical Association’s GP Committee and Deputy Chair of the Joint GP IT Committee, she helped lead the £300m online consultation fund, electronic prescribing, and advanced interoperability initiatives. She also led the implementation of GDPR in primary care and co-authored the first Dynamic Purchasing System Framework for digital health product regulation and procurement. In 2016, Bea successfully negotiated the £3.2bn junior doctors' contract.
An Obama Leader Fellow and recipient of Cartier’s Young Leader Award in 2023, Bea is a passionate advocate for health equity, working to address disparities in underserved communities. Her work focuses on improving access to early cancer detection and healthcare services globally.
