Dr Laura Hinchliffe

I have been working in prisons for the last four years and recently started at a medium secure psychiatric hospital too. Through Hanham Health we deliver GP services to HMP Ashfield, HMP Bristol, HMP Eastwood Park, HMP Erlestoke and HMP Leyhill.  These settings encompass many of the areas of medicine I am passionate about – especially mental health, women’s health and substance misuse. Also, I completed the part 2 certificate in substance misuse in 2016. I am the education lead for the prisons through which we run some very well reviewed SSC placements. I am also the clinical lead for gender dysphoria and have worked to build links with our local gender clinics
