Malti Varshney is a strategic clinical leader with experience of over 30 years of working in the public and voluntary sectors. As a Public Health Expert, Malti has held board-level roles, providing expertise in developing and implementing equitable population health strategies across health and care services. She has worked in partnership across Local Government and the NHS and has successfully delivered on a variety of cross-sector transformation projects.
In her current role as the Director of Strategic Change and Population Health in NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board, Malti is working in partnership with front-line multidisciplinary professionals to champion the application of population health approaches. She is passionate about systematic service improvement to address health inequalities and improve outcomes.
Before joining the ICB Malti held a variety of leadership portfolios at the Regional and National levels in the NHS. As the Director of Clinical Networks and Senate in London, she provided leadership for large-scale clinical transformational for key long-term conditions with a specific focus on addressing unwarranted clinical variation. In her role as the Director of Personalised Care, she provided leadership for the at-scale implementation of personalised care approaches and led the rollout of Fuller stocktake recommendations.
