GP Registrar
NHS Education for Scotland
I am a practicing GP Registrar working at the intersection of frontline primary care and healthcare sustainability. I currently serve as a Co-Chair for the RCGP Scotland Registrars and First5 committee network. I also bring a strong background in medical politics and advocacy, having served as a voting member across several British Medical Association (BMA) committees, including the Scottish Resident Doctors Committee (SRDC), the GP Registrars Committee (GPRC), the NES-LMC, and the UK Resident Doctors Committee (UKRDC). Throughout my various leadership tenures, I have consistently championed systematic improvements to clinical training and operational safety. Today, I channel that leadership experience into advocating for practical, data driven decarbonisation. I have actively participated in shaping sustainability policies in Scotland through the RCGP, engaging directly in high level meetings with government stakeholders, including the Scottish Chief Medical Officer CMO and national policy makers, to bridge the gap between high level net zero targets and front line medical practice. Through these collaborative policy efforts, I am dedicated to empowering clinical teams to achieve measurable emissions reductions by optimizing everyday service pathways, introducing sustainable prescribing practices, and scaling frontline primary care solutions that protect both patient health and planetary health.
