Erica is an innovative senior change management professional with significant experience of end-to-end delivery on large complex projects and transformation programmes. She spent the first 20 years of her career in Banking, starting out in her home country of New Zealand before moving to Ireland and then onto the UK. Having worked in the same industry across multiple counties and cultures, Erica is a champion for diversity in the workplace, having a strong appreciation for the value that individuals with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives contribute to a team. Erica joined the NHS in 2018 at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and during her time there, had the opportunity to lead on a number of complex programmes of work, including Outpatient Transformation, Robotic Process Automation, Menopause in the Workplace and working with early-stage innovators to support real world test and evaluation of innovation to solve real problems in the NHS. Erica is a strong advocate for innovation in healthcare and the critical role it must play in increasing the pace and scale of change to deliver better outcomes for patients, supporting elective recovery and improving conditions for the NHS workforce.
Now, at Royal Free London NHS Trust, Erica is leading the Innovation Consultancy within the Innovation and Intelligent Automation Division which is dedicated to the development of innovation by the NHS, for the NHS - with a focus on intelligent automation, artificial intelligence, digital applications, service redesign and augmented and virtual reality.
