Jayne Bennett is a specialist nurse working within the North West Infectious Diseases Department at North Manchester General Hospital. This is the largest provider nationally for Hepatitis C treatment outside of London.
Following 14 years prison health care experience she returned to the NHS to join the Hepatitis Team in 2007. In 2009 she became responsible for the 4 prisons within Greater Manchester and developed “The Manchester Model” which has since been replicated throughout many prison sites.
She is now responsible for 2 further prisons within the North West.
Her work has been recognised by the WHO, PHE and the Hep C trust.
