Jayne Mudd

Nurse consultant in cardiac rhythm management

Jayne Mudd is currently employed as a nurse consultant in cardiac rhythm management at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough where she has worked within the cardiology setting since 1998. Since being appointed as a specialist nurse in arrhythmia management in 1999 Jayne has developed and acted as the lead to a team of nurses specialising in arrhythmia and syncope management. Jayne has developed and acts as the lead to nurse led arrhythmia and syncope services across the community and tertiary settings. The team have led on many innovative projects which have been recognised by several local and national awards. Jayne has a special interest in nurse education and has developed and delivers masters level educational programmes for health care professionals in cardiac care and arrhythmia/syncope management in conjunction with Teesside University. Middlesbrough. In 2013 she was awarded with an MBE for her services to health care specifically to arrhythmia management.
