Jen Tomkinson is a physiotherapist and Associate Director for NHS@Home (Virtual wards) for Sirona care & health having extensive experience as clinician and clinical manager for NHS community and acute care services
Having led the rapid development of the tech-enhanced COVID-19 pulse oximetry service managing the care of more than 4000 people over 2 years from 2020, she has led the development of Virtual Wards in Bristol, North Somerset & South Gloucestershire . Now working as the senior clinical and operational lead for the non-medical professional groups that sit within the NHS @home portfolio, Jen is responsible for leading the system-wide integrated model and providing a focal point of provider leadership and consistency of working in a new and sizable multi-organisation collaboration.
Jen brings extensive experience and interest in how digital technology can enhance and transform healthcare delivery particularly in how it can support people to be empowered to manage their own healthcare as well as how the workforce is supported to develop the skills required.
