Jill started her career as a pharmacy technician and had worked for the NHS for 30 years. Also, Jill has held a variety of roles in community pharmacy and general practice and has worked in PCTs, SHAs and the Department of Health before moving to NHS England
Jill is currently the NHS England Managing Director supporting Capita’s Recovery Programme for Primary Care Support Services.
Previously Jill has been the Managing Director of Primary Care support services for England. This is the first time the range of support services have been brought together in a single national structure. This leadership role concentrated on delivering a consistent service, ensuring value for money and supporting the procurement of a long-term provider who could invest in the service transformation required.
She has led work nationally and regionally to support the transformation of primary care. Also improving quality here and now and exploring longer-term sustainable solutions to the on-going pressures in primary care.
