Karen has been working within the NHS since 1999. She has 20 years experience within nursing, ranging from CAMHS, general psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and more latterly infection control. Also, Karen holds an Advanced Diploma in Food Hygiene, Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, BSc Health Studies and a Masters in Infection Control.
Karen is currently employed as the Senior Infection Control Nurse at the State Hospital and within her Nursing Practice Development role Karen is involved in educating staff to enable them to improve and care for the physical health of the patients, in line with the 2020 Vision. Karen is also the Palliative Care and Bereavement lead for the organisation.
