Melissa Cochrane

Melissa graduated in 2000 with a degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics and joined the public sector in 2004 as a Project Administrator with the Department of Finance supporting the implementation of a finance shared service centre for the Northern Ireland Civil Service, where she gained further qualifications and worked her way up to Programme Manager. After joining the health service in 2017, Melissa was tasked with delivering a major laboratory programme. In 2020 Melissa was selected at the NI IT lead to work with the other UK nations in setting up regional COVID test centres winning awards for both these roles including best UK procurement and stepping up to drive success. She is currently the Head of Programme Delivery for the Business Services Organisation IT Services (BSO ITS) responsible for major change transformations in HSCNI and has recently graduated with a MSc in business improvement. Outside of work Melissa is kept very busy providing a taxi service to her 3 teenage daughters and enjoys playing football for the local “mothers & others” team.
