Simon has been a consultant surgeon in Nottingham for over 23 years and works with a team of Upper GI surgeons in the largest OG cancer centre in the UK. He performs a full range of cancer and benign upper GI procedures including upper GI endoscopy.
Simon has maintained a research profile as part of his NHS commitment is an Honorary Professor of the University of Nottingham. He has over 50 publications, and has an interest in digital transformation.
Simon co-founded EIDO Healthcare Ltd. a company specialising in patient information for informed consent. EIDO has used technology to transform the way it delivers its services.
Simon has had a number of leadership roles in his trust including Divisional Director for Surgery. He is now Head of General Surgery, a leadership position to transform both elective and Emergency General Surgery.
