Sarah is Chief Medical Officer at Kent Community Health (KCHFT) and a practising GP in Kent. From September 2025 for one year she was seconded as Chief Medical Officer for Neighbourhoods, Kent and Medway, and Local Coach for the Folkestone site in the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme.
Prior to joining KCHFT, Sarah was Clinical Chair of Canterbury and Coastal Clinical Commissioning Group and chair of East Kent Strategy Board.
Sarah has held roles including CCIO and Caldicott Guardian for KCHFT and has a special interest in Quality Improvement, along with data and digital innovation. Between 2019 and 2022 Sarah undertook a Masters in Healthcare Leadership and Quality Improvement as a Generation Q Fellow, sponsored by the Health Foundation. As Executive Lead for continuous improvement Sarah has led the development of a trust wide structured improvement approach. As clinical lead for the Kent and Medway Care Record from its inception in 2019 through to 2025, she provided clinical leadership to the procurement and implementation of a system wide shared clinical record, and subsequent application of integrated data for population health management in Kent and Medway. She currently supports NHS England in a part time secondment as Clinical Lead for Population Health Management being deliver through the national Federated Data Platform (FDP).
