Shireen Ali-Khan

Shireen Ali-Khan is a trainer, facilitator, podcast host and all round engagement specialist who is passionate about people and the human experience. Her personal style of relatability and authority sets her apart from others. Creating a safe space for participants to delve deep into the hard topics such as mental health, diversity, stakeholder engagement and leadership, right the way through to learning practical skills such as new software and capturing impact, Shireen takes participants on a journey to success.

Shireen began her own journey in leading workshops and training across London at the London Engineering Project with the Royal Academy of Engineering, Transport for London, Crossrail, and Tideway. Here she engaged with pupils, parents, teachers, company employees/ambassadors and wider industry to inspire people into STEM.

Shireen has a background in project and programme management, engagement, governance and impact assessment and believes in creating pathways for learners where they can demonstrate their learning in a safe environment.

Shireen is an official facilitator for the #IAmRemarkable programme, which is a Google initiative, empowering women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. She also delivers EDI training for the PRCA and has also joined NASA as part of their “go to” EDI team ensuring that their materials are equitable. Ensuring that space is for all.

Recently Shireen has launched a programme of activity for Women in Transport leading workshops, podcasts and training in diversity, intersectionality and leadership, supporting the learning journey of underrepresented groups and allies, creating space for ourselves and one another to ensure diversity of thought and voices within the sector.
