An energetic, dynamic and motivated leader, with executive experience of business and service delivery, across both NHS and independent sectors. A senior manager at local, regional and national levels, with proven ability to network, work in partnership in developing and delivering innovation and change within the health sector.  

A registered health care practitioner (Biomedical Scientist) with over 20 years of operational experience in pathology and lead scientist role at the strategic health authority, overseeing professional development of the workforce and Pathology Modernization. A further 10 years as independent management consultant specialising in pathology service reconfigurations. For the last 6 years employed as Managing Director of South West London Pathology an established network now recently expanded to a four trust partnership. 

Through working with clinical and operational staff for service redesign and consolidation has gained significant experience overseeing projects and advising trusts. Managing key stakeholders at executive and board level, working with clinical and scientific staff to improve quality outcomes and performance measures whilst reducing costs and absorbing increased activity.  

Passionate about improving Pathology to make a significant impact on patient pathways and developing different service models, governance structures and performance metrics into a more commercial approach to laboratory medicine within the NHS.
