Tejas Kapadia

Consultant Paediatric Radiologist, Research Lead and QSI Lead
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

Dr Tejas Kapadia is a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He serves as Quality and Safety Lead and as Research Lead for Children and Young People's (CYP) imaging across the Trust's group of hospitals.

His sustained academic interest and leadership in multi-centre collaborative research led to his appointment to the Executive Committee of the British Society of Paediatric Radiology (BSPR), where he now leads the Society's research activities.

Dr Kapadia has a specialist interest in paediatric oncology imaging, with particular expertise in neuro-oncology, haemato-oncology and solid tumours, alongside paediatric neuroradiology and advanced MRI. His research and educational work centres on imaging of childhood cancers and on the application of advanced imaging techniques to improve diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up.

He is actively engaged with international paediatric oncology imaging groups and contributes to education through invited lectures and conference presentations.

Tejas is frequently involved with raising the department morale by organising group activities along with colleagues like the yearly Manchester 10K and half marathon runs.
