Timothy Cain

Paediatric Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist
The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne

Dr Timothy Cain completed his training in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in 1992. He has worked in private practice and public hospitals in a variety of Diagnostic radiology roles, but has practiced almost exclusively as a nuclear medicine qualified paediatric radiologist since 2005. From 2005-2014 he was the Director of Medical Imaging at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne where he currently works as a senior Staff Specialist Paediatric Radiologist and clinical leader of the MR PET imaging service. He is the past president of Asian and Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology, Past President of the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging and an honorary member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology. He has delivered radiology lectures in 30 different countries as well as online webinars open to a global audience with Radiology Across Borders and the Royal College of Radiologists. His imaging interests include paediatric oncology, paediatric body imaging, Non Accidental Injury, and post mortem imaging of children. He enjoys travelling and learning from others while sharing his knowledge.
