42nd Street has over 40 years’ history of supporting young people aged 11-25 years across Greater Manchester. Our vision is for inclusive, accessible mental health and wellbeing support and opportunities for all young people.
We support over 5000 young people each year with their emotional well-being and mental health by offering a choice of effective, creative, young person-centred and rights based approaches. By demonstrating local impact with national significance, we drive meaningful change that makes a positive difference to the lives of young people.
42nd Street offers a variety of choices and routes for young people, including one to one counselling, therapy, psychosocial support, online support plus therapeutic and identity-based groups and social action programmes. We also run creative projects from our arts and wellbeing venue, The Horsfall, bringing together artists and young people to create an innovative programme of creative projects rooted in the things that matter to young people. We run an annual arts and wellbeing festival, The Future Is Ours.
