Highlighting the key targets and milestones from NHS England’s recently published Net Zero Travel and Transport Strategy.
Digital processes and information are critical to the efficient delivery of complex healthcare projects. Within any single capital build project, thousands of deliverables are produced, which need to be managed and, more critically, maintained throughout the hospital’s lifecycle. The maintenance of digital information is key to unlocking the value in soft FM activities, helping operators gain a deeper understanding of their assets, how they are performing, and how this is impacting patients’ health and welfare.
Drawing on several of our large hospital projects, our presentation demonstrates the amount of information that is produced across a building’s lifecycle and the impact poor information management can have on FM activities. It looks at the ROI for investing in digital processes, such as the savings surrounding work orders and reducing the time wasted searching for information. We will finish the presentation by presenting a case study of developing a digital twin for one of the projects within the New Hospitals Programme and the type of insights that are going to enhance how soft FM is conducted in operation.
