Ben Long

Ben is Programme Manager for NHS and Care Volunteer Responders at Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) and has built a career focussed on creating innovative opportunities for volunteers to support people and health organisations.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ben has had a leading role in the Volunteer Responders programme, mobilising hundreds of thousands of volunteers to step forward and assist the NHS and local communities.

His work includes overseeing the Driving Support initiative, “Pick Up and Deliver,” a vital service that ensures essential equipment and medications are delivered to patients in virtual wards, enabling them to receive timely care at home.
