David Hancock

David is an independent consultant who has worked in Health IT for over 20 years having worked in other industry sectors previously.  He works in both NHS and Social Care IT managing transformation programmes with expertise in interoperability.  David is a Director and Vendor Co-Chair of INTEROPen in the UK, a group of vendors, health and care organisations, professional bodies and standards organisations dedicated to the definition and adoption of health and care interoperability standards.   He is a member of the NHS Interoperability Advisory Group and sits on the UK HL7 FHIR Board, the body responsible for governance and prioritisation of the development of FHIR interoperability standards and increasingly other standards across Health and Care too.
