Starting her career as a Diagnostic Radiographer when the profession was already challenged by a shortage of Silver halides forcing a move from X-ray film to Digital, Donna became very interested in innovative ways to support the sector that were both relevant and beneficial to patients and end users. Donna was part of the team that established a National PACS,RIS and Electronic Patient Referral system across Scotland and understands the importance of integration, workflow and maximum uptime of services across the health care continuum.
However, the challenges do not stop there and her move into the private sector was an attempt to bridge the gap between Diagnostic Imaging Departments and Suppliers to collaborate together to drive efficiency whilst containing cost. This has seen her consider the use of AI, Modalities, Contrast Media, Injectors and Consumables to uncover ways to improve patient diagnosis whilst balancing commercial, regulatory and data driven objectives.
