Dr Abi Tierney

Dr Abi Tierney is leading Serco’s commitment to move beyond traditional outsourcing and step up to the challenge of managing the journey of patients through the hospital and beyond. Abi is the Regional Director for the Central Region in Serco Health, which includes Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Before joining Serco, Abi worked at University Hospital’s Leicester as Director for Strategy and Innovation. Prior to this, Abi was the Director of Strategic Leadership at Aberdeen City Council, with responsibility for collaborating with public and private partners to set the strategic direction for the City. Abi began her career at IBM, as the Marketing Leader for the Global Services Business. This was where her interest in building strategic partnerships that drive transformational change first began.

Abi has a first class degree in History and Philosophy of Science and a PhD on innovation and creativity.
