A medical doctor by background, Avi is an Associate Partner and the Clinical Safety Officer for Healthcare & Life Sciences at IBM. He is also the Co-Founder of Doctorpreneurs, a not-for-profit organisation and one of the world's first and largest communities for medical innovators and entrepreneurs.
Avi is an experienced healthcare technology leader working at the intersection of clinical, commercial and technology fields. He has broad experience in digital health with experience supporting clients across 22 countries. He has a particular interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies to improve health and care. Avi has previously served as the Global Clinical Adoption Leader at IBM Watson Health and as the Clinical Lead for Digital Health at Bupa.
Avi is a Fellow at the Faculty of Clinical Informatics, Digital Health Advisor and Guest Lecturer at leading Universities in the UK and internationally. He was recently awarded the UK Asian Tech Pioneer Award for Healthtech (2022) by equality charity Diversity UK.
