Daniel Jones is an Academic Interventional Cardiologist based within the Barts CVCTU (Queen Mary University of London) and at Barts Heart Centre, St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He qualified as a doctor from St George's Hospital Medical School in 2004 and completed an NIHR funded PhD from Queen Mary University of London in 2015. He has published comprehensively within the Cardiology Literature throughout his career and has presented his work internationally at Cardiology Conferences.
He is the clinical lead for the current post-AMI pathway at Barts Hospital which recently won a BMJ Award for the pathway (Stroke and Cardiovascular Team of the year 2021) utilising the Ortus-iHealth platform. He is also the joint-lead for In-patient Cardiology Services and the Cardiology Advanced Clinical Practitioner/Physician Associate programme at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. In addition, he is an avid runner, having completed many marathons and ultra-running events and is a long suffering Nottingham Forest fan.
