Dr. Emily Fargher Holmes BA(hons), MSc, PhD

Emily is a Research Fellow in Pharmacoeconomics at the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME), Bangor University. She is the Principal Investigator of a pharmacoeconomics feasibility study to assess the economic modelling of changes to prescribing practice at HMP Berwyn.

Emily graduated in Economics at the University of Liverpool and started her career at the University of Manchester, before taking her position at Bangor Unversity. Emily completed her doctoral research in behavioural economics and health psychology of medication adherence. Also, Emily is the Principal Investigator of a project assessing the cost-effectiveness of the point of care CRP testing to reduce antimicrobial prescribing, and the UK national survey of attitudes to epilepsy.

Furthermore, Emily works on numerous projects aligned with her interests in medication adherence (SuMMiT-D), preferences for medicines administration/outcomes (CARiAD), and neurology (EN-PNS, SAFE). Emily has over 30 published papers and conference proceedings, she edits health technology assessment reports for the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC), and is a member of the Epilepsy Action Scientific Awards Panel.
