Dr Joy Shacklock

Dr Joy Shacklock is the RCGP Safeguarding Lead. She is also one of the Named GPs for Child and Adult Safeguarding in North Yorkshire CCG, as well as a GP Partner and Practice Safeguarding Lead at The Spa Surgery, Harrogate. She co-leads the Harrogate Homeless Health clinic. She is an executive member of the PCSF (Primary Care Safeguarding Forum). In her RCGP role, Joy works closely with other agencies such as NHSE/I safeguarding team, safeguarding leads in the Royal Colleges, National Network of Named GPs, as well as other agencies such as the domestic abuse sector. Joy has produced a number of safeguarding resources for the RCGP which can be found on the RCGP Safeguarding Hub as well as COVID specific safeguarding resources on the RCGP COVID hub.
