Dr Phil Anderson is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist who works in South Eastern HSCT for the Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for Northern Ireland [FCAMHSNI] and ACORN Therapeutic Service. The latter provides mental health and enhanced therapeutic care in the regional secure care facilities. He undertakes expert witness work for largely adolescent cases in court proceedings.
Dr Phil Anderson has previously worked in a variety of secure settings, community forensic mental health services and child and adolescent mental health services in Northern Ireland and England.
Dr Phil Anderson is involved with the Child and Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry faculties in the Northern Ireland Division of RCPsych. He is also the Northern Ireland representative on the committee for the UK RCPsych Adolescent Forensic Psychiatry Special Interest Group [AFPSIG].
Dr Anderson has special interests in complex trauma. Neurodevelopment, violence and mental health and capacity law.
