Dr Rajesh Moholkar

Dr Moholkar is a consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Physical health lead at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS trust. He is a visiting Psychiatrist at HMP Birmingham, a lecturer at Birmingham University and an independent advisor to the CQC. He was worked with Public Health England and produced a research paper on ‘Prevalence and management of obesity in secure services’. This led to the development of ‘Healthy weight CQUIN’. He is currently on national task and finish group, developing national guidelines for prevention and management of obesity in secure hospitals. He is chairing ‘Treatment interventions’ workstream of this guideline.
