Dr Modi is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist (Arrhythmia Specialist) in the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, a large quaternary referral centre in the North West of England. He is UK and Canada trained and has an interest in inherited causes of young sudden cardiac death. He is one of the principle Cardiologists running the regional inherited cardiac conditions clinic in LHCH having spent a considerable amount of time working on the Canada-wide CASPER registry investigating causes of unexplained young sudden death without overt heart disease. Dr Modi is one of the regional experts on long QT syndrome and Brugada syndrome, 2 of the commonest ‘channelopathy’ causes of drug-related sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). He has published and presented on investigation and identification of the same in a number of high profile settings.
