Dr. Sulaxni Nainani is a General Practitioner and serves as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Integrated Care System (ICB). With 17 years of experience as a GP, she plays a vital role in the heart of Leicester's student community. In 2016, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first female GP to join the Leicester City CCG Governing Body. Since then, she has successfully led various integrated initiatives spanning primary, community, and secondary care.
During the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Nainani served as one of the clinical leads for the Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland region. She provided crucial support to primary care while adapting to new ways of operation and efficiently executing a large-scale vaccination program.
Her genuine passion lies in providing integrated, high-quality, effective, and secure healthcare services across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Dr. Nainani firmly believes that by cultivating collaboration and synergy among diverse healthcare entities, we can establish a comprehensive and patient-centric system that not only addresses illnesses but also promotes overall wellness and well-being. According to her, true success is determined by the degree to which we attain greater equity in health and care outcomes and experiences for our diverse communities.
