Dr Tony Joy is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust and the Clinical Lead for the Physician Response Unit, an emergency response service that operates in collaboration with London’s Air Ambulance, Barts Health NHS Trust and London Ambulance Service. He is also a consultant with Essex & Hertfordshire Air Ambulance. He is interested in the inter-agency working between acute trusts, ambulance services and community providers, and believes that Emergency Departments are well placed to reach out and make a health impact in to their local communities.
